Everything loads and looks like it is ok and then in the middle of somthing it reboots. If I leave it on the desk it resets itself over and over every minute or so. I did the install from the notification I received that an update was available. I dont know what you mean by ota.

Use the Mobile update tool for a clean install.

The Blackberry website is no longer hosting it. In the OP you'll see a link that says "The internet is forever". That's the link to download the client hosted on a different website.

A trip to the hospital seems to have my K1 up and running now??????...........but I see that my device memory is at about 95% and it wasnt close to that prior to the update. Was the update that large a file? What files are safe to delete and what files should not be deleted? I see several large files .nfv. What are they?

Ignore device memory. Android manages it just fine. Unused ram is wasted ram.

the folks at Blackberry said the problem was memory and the new update was a very large file for what its worth

I thought I might of had the problem solved but I did another reset after freeing up some memory and the phone is back to cycling on and off.

Why keep punishing yourself? Run the autoloader for a fresh install. Something obviously went wrong during your initial update.

I did a factory re-set and everything running fine. Lost a little data but the important stuff is intact (I think).
