BlackBerry Press smartphone teased ahead of CES

Hopefully they're right. When is it being announced?

It's been confirmed 625. So I'll be betting on that.
Wow! Here I was thinking that this was probably some garbage-recycled article from some no-name site and it turns out to be TechnoBuffalo... I hope they're right but...
Another speculative article looking for hits. Why say it's almost certain to come with a 625 when you can say some people believe it might have an 821?
I don't see any confirmed sources for either actually. What are you referring to?
I actually see people referencing both but I find it interesting this website states multiple facts like the name, etc that are speculation based off Twitter until proven...
Yes hoping for 821 with 4gb ram

I believe the 625 was found to fit with the Geekbench results.

That Twitter account is essentially the only source w/r/t the Mercury that isn't some lame render.
821 is old news. 835 or bust.

Probably a typo. The 821 has never come up in any leaks and would push the price up quite significantly. I would be extremely surprised if it didn't come with the 625. I doubt BlackBerry would release a new Flagship so close to the DTEK60

We will be lucky if it's 821.
Hope for a 625 or otherwise it will be an over $500 device.
Not a typo. Just a way for his updated article get a bit more attention.
Just because it's "new" doesn't mean it's "true" :)
Maybe they will do 2 versions, at this point who knows... We'll see tomorrow
That would be perfect and solve all the price / performance debate.
I wish BBRY would do that more often but they never have done it like that before.
For a phone with limited appeal already? Too costly for that.

Why it can't be two variants? Aka Q5 / Q10??? Z3/ Z30?? DTEK50/DTEK60?
I think they will show two devices, one with 625 3gb ram and 821 4 gb ram...
Maybe that's why we have been having two versions of the processor.

Why does it need the 821? My hope would be 4 gigs of ram over 3. I can live with the 625.
Because Android is slower then BB10 and to be able to multi-task the way you can on a Passport, you need a processor that's actually top-tier for competitive Android devices in 2017. This isn't 2015.
Absolutely not. Even my DTEK50s (with a 617) fly circles around my Passport SE (running Android apps).
Yes you need it, for multitasking you need a powerful processor and ram. The DTEK50 struggles when playing music and browsing at the same time... that's bad.

If there is a market for a PKB phone..... then releasing two identical devices with just slight different specs might be a good move. I sort of doubt that TCL is that BOLD, as there is no evidence there is a market large enough to support one device, let alone two.
Think price point is going to be a very key element in how well this phone does, 625 should be a good fit.
I disagree completely. My DTEK50 users do this every day without a single complaint.
