Personally I feel the name is not the important factor here, it's about pricing and being value added.
    Damn hipsters nowadays!

DTEK100 here to serve and protect. PRIV line goes DTEK1000, counting upwards. Slabs stay two-digit, pkb-slabs three-digit, sliders four-digit. That way, production value and price are reflected in the amount of digits and the numbers reflect the generation. Looking forward to DTEK1001 but I'm glad DTEK100 will be here soon to protect and serve as it reminds me on my trusty old Q10 that got replaced by ugly-named PRIV. Mercury sounds beautiful, therefore I'd like that on a girlyphone like iPhone or any Samsung rather than a BlackBerry :-)

    Or keep Mercury
Nothing wrong with a nerdy name for a nerdy phone.
    I'm hoping for a smaller Dtek60 - Dtek60 mini?

Regarding the out of proportion tale design I would suggest "BlackBerry Plonker" as the final device name would be suitable, expression the fact that it's a misshapen Passport SE lookalike only to attract attention.

Dude I hope this is sarcasm? The heck is wrong with you, those names are hideous.

I hope they just keep the Mercury title. It's clean and that's the name everyone already knows it by. If they do decide to change it I hope it becomes "BlackBerry Mercurius"

Best names I've seen here are "Legend" or "Legacy." Names that harken to glory days. If they put a pokey CPU in it, maybe a lame name like "Press" makes more sense.

I don't think they can use Legend because HTC had that name. In fact I had the phone.
    Why not BlackBerry Odyssey,
Torched or BlackBerry Pi or Cobbler. Mmmmm. I think I'll go make one.

I'd like to see if be called something that is a statement of how well Blackberry have done to still be in the game and to show they aren't backing down like Blackberry Legend, as in the legend lives on.

That would be cool, maybe even shorten it more "Mrc" .
Just another thought maybe call it!!!!! Mercury Rising !!!!!! and have it in satin aluminum fading into a dark red colour. That would look really Hot , pun intended..
