If you had your choice of Mercury, one of the DTEK phones, or a Priv, which one would you choose, and why?? I know what I'd choose, but super curious to hear your thoughts.

I'm trying to decide between a Dtek60 and the Mercury. I'm currently rocking a Z10 that I've had since launch day and, before that was a bold and before that was a curve. I tend to get about 3-4 years out of a phone when kept in a bb holster/pocket. Part of me wants the specs and large screen of the Dtek60 especially since I've become accustomed to the full screen phones. However, since I don't play games on my phone and the Mercury screen is still going to be larger than my Z10, I think it's the way to go for me. The prospects of not getting stuck in "autocorrect hell" as well as not having to buy the device outright if Rogers picks up the Mercury vs the Dtek60 which they don't carry, are the two biggest factors for me. Solid battery life is the gravy on top. PKB for the win!

I've ditched all of my flagship devices to come back to BlackBerry. Right now I'm using the Priv and am actually very impressed with it, however for my needs and use, the Mercury is 100% the way to gor for me.

If the Mercury doesn't pan out, then I'll just come back to the Priv and be just fine....

Never had an interest in the Dtek line since to me, BlackBerry is all about the PKB and independence.

I don't think anything can beat the dtek60. But if you want a physical keyboard bad enough, what other choice do you have?

Mercury because of its PKB and supposedly-great cameras. Though if there would be a Priv 2 with improved performance, I'd choose that because I like how it looks..

The choice is going to come between the physical keyboard or the power of the dtek60. I'd absolutely choose the Mercury as I love my physical keyboard and can't wait to see the features that are going to be added in with this.

Unfortunately, none of them can match my Passport. Need screen size. Passport is the best form factor. Would like it in a VKB. So the closest I can come will be a Huawei Mate 9 with a Hub+ setup.

Does every thread have to devolve into Android vs BB10?

Talked about physical phone size. You read misread the post.

I already have the Priv so the question would be for me: would I take either the DTEK60 or the Mercury over the Priv? I do not like touch screen phones, so even though the '60 is a very nice device (seen it first hand), it is out. Now as for the Mercury: I love the Priv slider form factor. I have been spoiled by having such a large screen plus a pkb available when I need it). However if the Mercury is a high spec'ed phone I would definitely consider it. It does, after all, have a PKB which is a must for me. I have to say, it would be hard to pry me away from the Priv.

DTEK60, because it's nearly the same as what I have now only with an updated SoC and camera.

You mentioned specifically the Passport, which has nothing to do with this thread. Exactly where was his "misunderstanding"?

He was referring about the form factor which was obvious. Now if he had that form factor with full screen ( vkb) on android he'd be happy
