LCD screens don't enjoy the benefits of deep blacks as seen in AMOLED screens and often have really bad light bleed from the edges.

Can anyone who has seen the KEYone comment on how noticeable the light bleed was when looking at a darker image or black background?

This is so much a personal issue I'd suggest you don't buy one until you can get your hands on one to satisfy your curiosity. I personally played with one for maybe 20 minutes and light bleed was not noticed, nor was I looking for it....

That's fair. Once you notice light bleed it can't be unseen.

    Anyone else?

Saw it firsthand at NYC meetup. Never noticed it either.

Honestly there so many good LCD screens build into countless phone models since years, why should the KeyOne be the one which lacks behind suddenly? I know TCL is now calling the shots, but even past BlackBerry phones like the Passport or Classic had pretty decent LCD screens. Most popular phones would be from Apple.
Just looking at my Priv's OLED screen and it's burned out areas won't make me miss that technology a bit after switching to KeyOne.

yes they are, yet the past many generations used standard LCD and the displays have always been very good.

There hasn't been a blackberry phone with light bleed in the past so that shouldn't be an issue.

Where do you have burnout areas? I have a Priv from December 2015 and a Note 3 from ages ago and neither have screen burning..?

Very late to this thread but have only just bought my KeyOne from amazon in the UK. I have light bleeding in around the top left hand corner when seeing dark backgrounds. Keeping an eye on it in case it changes with age and use.

I have had light bleed on my KeyOne since day 1 at the top in the middle. noticeable when the notification bar is a light colour such as blue or green and in the crackberry app (orange with light bleed)

I also notice when the screen is starting up (ie black background with the funky animation) that if I press the screen near the top the whole top of the screen goes white / black -weird. someone mentioned screen lift imminent but still seems strongly secured (March build)

in terms of the quality though otherwise the screen is lovely.
