The blackberry mobile website says its 3.1 but the charging cable it comes with is just 2.0 as it only has 4 pins on the type A side instead of the 8 needed for 3.1. Will getting a 3.1 type A to Type C cable speed up file transfers to and from my computer. My Micro SD is rated for about 50MB/S. I only get about 25MB/S as the cable is 2.0. I haven't seen anyone test this yet so I'm scared to spend a little more for a 3.1 without confirmation that the internals of the Keyone will actually utilize the extra speed.
Try testing it with internal storage instead of Micro SD.
It has nothing to do with internal or sd. I need a 3.1 complaint type c to test. The phone comes with 2.0. The website says its 3.1 so it seems odd to me that they wouldn't include the appropriate cable for 3.1. If its 3.1 it should support speeds above 25MB/S.
Its faster then the cable that comes with it? I noticed when transferring files with a android device it doesn't show transfer rate in windows unlike in BB10 phones with proper mass storage support so that's probably why you didn't give any MB/S :P
it's 3.1 though supplied cable is 2.0 one can only assume for cost reasons. With the Priv was 2.0 and they supplied a regular non qc cable so not surprised.
