So I called Telus today about security updates who referred me to call BlackBerry about updates. I called BlackBerry mobile solutions and there solution is to punch in *#*# (then some numbers) #*#*. After doing this I'm supposed to wait 24 hours and if no update then try this again without the Sim in. If it still doesn't work then I send a bug report and it gets escalated.

So I'm not sure if this will work but at least we have a maybe solution. I wonder if it's a software issue with the KeyOne that stops it from getting updates.

    This is a normal thing.

    *#*#checkin#*#*

It will take effect with seconds.

But Telus hasn't released the update that all the NA unlocked devices already have.

It just popped up for Bell at the BlackBerry Mobile server, so they should be getting it within the next 24 hours.

Btw, what is the product code on your Telus branded KEYᵒⁿᵉ? I can check to see if it's also up on the server for release tomorrow.

It should be PRD-63116-0xx. The number is on the box.

Similarly, if anyone has a Rogers branded device, I would like to know the last two digits also.

    Bell is -003.

Also set for update tomorrow is -007 and -009. I believe one of these is Telus which means update is imminent.

    Dialer.

But if it's not available, it would help anyway.

    PRD-63764-001 (AAO548)

And you don't have to do the *#*#checkin#*#* thing as the Updates app communicates with TCL's servers instead of Google's. So there's no need to check into the Google services.

Wait. Should be 24 hours or so after it appears.

I think the tool is querying full OS versus OTA updates; if you check PRD-63116-005 (which is Rogers I think) via the scanner it'll return AAO472, while if you check for the latest delta patch from a previous release (like AAM625) it'll put you on AAN517.

I get that. But the last couple I checked, one lagged the other by about 24 hours or so.
