I wonder why they used it. It's not obvious that is a BlackBerry so it's not for the "this important person uses this phone" like other shows.

Not sure as I've never watched the show. Had something to do with a voicemail message that someone left. Doesn't look like the normal phone app that's on the KEYone. Who knows, lol?

Many shows in the past have had government officials using BlackBerry phones with the majority being legacy devices since that's what everyone used back then. I am just surprised to see the K1 because it isn't being displayed with its branding.

Proable easier to create a visual effect for an Android phone than for BBOS or BB10. In the past they have a video playing. Now they can create a more interactive app the mimics the visuals and interactions that they want.

Yes I also spotted this. Suggest that despite no overt branding it is very much recognisable as a Blackberry which is supposed to be secure.
Also spotted here on UK telly in BBC1 show called Silent Witness - used by a forensic scientist character!

Used to see a lot of Classics on "Designated Survivor" , but then it starred Keifer Sutherland and some of it was shot in Toronto. 😀 It's still the definitive business cell phone.
