Buttons Remapper. I paid the $0.99 and now the right shift works like the key2. Also set the Convenience Key to my Pause button for media. And my volume up and down are set to media, not ringer.

The app is designed to remap button functionality. It's always running in the background. I programmed the right shift with any letter to open a specific app. So, it's cheating, but it works the same.

Thanks. So do you have to press them simultaneously? Also, can you use both long and short presses. I currently have 49 shortcuts programmed, and rely on long/short presses.

For example, I push and hold the right shift, then press the U while in any app and my calculator opens.

The app has the long or short press option too. I've only used short press for my needs so far. The app is free for less functionality. I paid the $0.99 for the combination of keys option.

It has no long press if you use the button combination with shift + a letter though. Does the speed key on key2 have the long press functionality?

Also some apps have a bug, where you can't scroll with the pkb after switching apps. (YouTube app)

Solution is download Button mapper app from play store, now while setting the button you need to set it at long press. Now the catch is sometimes while typing on keyboard it create problem, solution is you upgrade, this upgrade enables long press duration, set it to 750 ms, now you are good to go, app switch is breeze no hicuups one hand use only

Buttons remapper works perfectly. "Button mapper" there are two of, 1 and 2. I presume they both work too, along with this one I linked, developed by @clzdev.
