    It's a known issues.... the antenna is on the side you would cover up more with your left hand.

    Some have found using a case helps.

    A case definitely helps. I also use BT earbuds with microphone for calls. Hands free is useful

    In a communications device... yes.

    If you just bought it, might try returning it for another to see if there is a hardware issue. If there is still a problem, it is probable a combination of the antenna location along with the carrier band and signal strength.

    Many have no issue at all, some find the phone unable in their location....

    Go to phone dial pad and paste this:


    Phone info and set preferred network type. I find GSM auto works best for me. The phone will reset itself to the default when turned off or reset. Be careful in this section. Don't fool around with things unless you know what they are.

    The microphone is on the left side of the device, so when you hold the phone with your left hand, the distance between the microphone and your mouth increases
