Last night I placed the device to charge but noticed it felt funny. The screen lifted off the device. This seems to be happening to everyone who purchased a KEYone at launch. I got in contact with BBMo who advised me to send in photos of my lifted screen. You can see there is clearly no glue or any adhesive whatsoever holding the screen down. I was notified I would be receiving a shipping label to send my device FIRST, then I would be be shipped a replacement. Total opposite of ShopBB who would send send you a replacement device with a shipping label included to send the defective phone back. This is an uncomfortable feeling. Especially because the rep who I was talking to was in Guadalajara, MX. I bought the device at a local best buy in Houston and did not purchase any warranty. Purchased on 06-01 and BestBuy's phone return policy is 14 days smh. Hopefully BBMo takes care of me and everyone else dealing with this headache. $600 is too much to be dealing with these problems. Overall, I was loving the KEYone before this happened.

wow. this issue needs investigating further. I do think now TCL need to up the game in identifying exactly why this is happening. whether it's a batch issue or general across the board manufacturing issue. could be identified by serial number.

I know there are those who say theirs are without problems but I have this feeling that as time goes on all will have the same issue.

The ones that won't suffer from this issue are probably those that have been made after the issue was discovered.

What ever the issue they need to get out in front of this, recall them all and replace them; defect or not.

They really should stop shipping any new devices until they sort it out. If they don't, even if they fix it with new batches, we won't be sure which one do we purchase.

I guess it is blessing for me that the phone is not out yet unlocked in Canada.
Now I think I am going to pass on Keyone. Damn it I wanted a keyboard. Very unhappy right now.

Seems US, Germany, and UK devices are suffering from this. At least we're the only ones to report this.

I think there was 1 (or 2) report(s) from Asia, too. Canada is a matter of time.

Bummer, safe to say it is an issue. I hope they are working on a new variant to win people back.

Aren't mandatory recalls only for life-threatening (i.e. exploding battery) failures? This seems like a free but voluntary retrofit/replacement.

I'm almost sure that I've read about someone in Asia buying it from a local shop. I might be wrong.

Agreed! TCL needs to identify why some batches of devices are fine and some are lifting!?

My only concern is for long term onwers. Lets say warranty is done with - and issues pop up in the second year. This k1 might just have an abysmal secondary resale market.
