Just give up on the keyboard dream and buy a oneplus 5 for the same price and have it utterly destroy every other device out there. Seriously only one manufacturer can give us a proper pkb and the phone is an overpriced underspeced poorly built pile of garbage. I've waited years for this device and can't justify buying it at all.
Honestly, I was willing to accept the price but seeing all these issues has got me bitterly disappointed. I can pay above-average prices but I expect a certain quality in return.

For me, BlackBerry phones have been reliable throughout the years which is why I never moved to another brand. Now, it seems like TCL has wrecked that image.

I suspect they didn't use enough adhesive! There's quite a bit of adhesive used in securing part of the phone like the battery!
They used zero adhesive, like all KeyOne's it appears.

Wow, I already experienced the double typing issue on the Q10. After 3.5 years and one replacement I changed my daily driver due to a broken R key. Back in January I stopped waiting for the Keyone and bought a DTEK60. That was probably the better decision regarding this thread. Do you guys think that they will increase the build quality for future devices? This typical "ping-pong" by the support for such an expensive device is not promising

Welp, according to Zack Nelson from JerryRig, there is apparently no adhesive under the display.

    That's actually pretty shocking.

Hhm The_Q you are on video now, guess you rather wouldn't be.

Good news looks like the tech sites have gotten wind of this and are pressing TCL for answers. Lets hope this matter is resolved soon.

I for one have cancelled my shopcrackberry.ca pre-order from this issue as well as the reception issue.

It is possible the support representative who called the OP truly did not have time previously to contact him. in the typical call centre support representatives are alloted approximately 15-30 minutes for follow-up activities which includes outbound calls to customers.

My KeyOne, bought 2 weeks ago, also suddenly was left with one side of the screen de-attached... WTF.

And, no, I did not drop it!!!

After so many years of loving BBs and coming back to KeyOne because it was about damn time, I am honestly hugely disappointed.

Holy smokes...that's what I worried as well...not drops, but flexes under normal use causing the screen the pop out...

I hope BB'/TCL do a recall ....I bought mine from Clove so I am not sure how I can do it, but I really hope so..

Are you getting a replacement... or refund?!

Us: what do we want? A removable battery!

Us: when do we want it? Now!

Blackberry / TCL: instructions not clear, produced a removable screen 😃 lol

I have yet to get a clear response from the dealer on this - I bought it with 1 year warranty, but I think he is a bit lost too at this moment, how this will be processed, he saw multiple BB KeyOne's having this issue.

I wouldn't bother with a replacement for this issue, you are inheriting the same problem again. Either you fix it yourself or get a refund.

This is insane. So either a lawsuit at this point (if warranty isn't enforced) or a massive recall. I knew BlackBerry was incompetent but this is astonishing and yet not so surprised. My device is flawless but now I'm not even sure what the future holds.
