Will be interesting to see if this is a single issue (bad hardware assembly, glitch in the system) or its systematic and you are the first of many. I really hope it's the former. In the meantime, I hope you can get it replaced quickly.
Thanks James, I'm not sure what the CPW policy is but I doubt they will replace it. They'll prob try and repair. But will ring them tomorrow and find out
That is the thing with drops, any small drop on the wrong place can break any phone. While sometimes big drops cause no damage. Sorry OP, terrible luck.

Pretty much. Shattered a Passport display dropping it off my coffee table onto a hardwood floor but a Z10 I dropped on concrete was perfectly fine.
Sidenote: Interesting that there's not a whole lot going on behind the display. Seems like a lot of vacant space to me but maybe it's just the photo.
Good for you, meaning that the screen is ok, and perhaps with some strong double side tape, or acrilic silicone, it will be firmly held in place...
But, dont know if I'm not understanding it right, does that means that if the glass breaks,
then all the display assembly has to be changed?
It seems from the pic like a whole one...

False, the phone should withstand a few drops. For the screen to pop off shows a possible flaw in the glue/tape

Definitely a flaw with that particular unit perhaps. No other reports from anyone experiencing such the same occurrence. OP needs to explore warranty options first, we can't help here... not yet anyway! I highly doubt that this is a systemic issue.
Buy a Harley Davidson and the rear view mirrors will probably fall off before getting off the lot LOL.

Exactly, my wife has already dropped hers twice on tile from standing position. Little marks on corners but that's it. I'm sure it is just this one device. Saying that, there is always a low percentage of every phone maker that has a few duds.
