    Hi,

I thought I'd start a thread for neat tips and tricks that KEYone owners have found that help productivity.

First, there are a lot of good ones already documented:

    Hidden Features
    Keyboard Tricks
    Launcher Tips
    Hub keyboard shortcuts

So, I'm going to get the ball rolling with a few I've found:

In WhatsApp message list, using the keyboard filters the conversations by sender or group name, including fuzzy matching like "J Bl" for Joe Bloggs

    In Chrome
    No matter what state:
    • You can use ALT+D to activate the URL bar (I'm using this one ALL the time)
    • You can use ALT+F to bring up the menu
    • Pressing 'Space' or SHIFT+'Space' gives page down or page up.

If you're in a text field and have setup a physical key as ctrl then you can use:

At the moment I can't make any of the CTRL ones work unless I have a text field (such as the URL bar) focused, but you can combine the above ALT+D which focuses a text field and these to, for example, open a new tab - ALT+D, CTRL+N. (Perhaps something for a future software update from BB to make the CTRL key work all the time like alt does?)

    In Google Search:
    • ALT+T/B - top and bottom of the page

    When Typing on the Keyboard
(I'm sure this must be mentioned in the official documentation somewhere, but I can't find it).

    • There are actually 3 'flick' zones for entering the auto-suggested words - in columns below each word. Flicking up in the centre of the keyboard inserts the centre word, flicking up on the right and left hand third of the KB inserts the left and right suggested word.

If you want to explore, it might help to setup your right hand shift key as a CTRL key:
Ctrl shortcuts - Keyboard - latest

So, what are your favourite KEYone/keyboard tips that you haven't seen anyone write about yet?
    ---
    Edit History
    * Add Chrome+space, Flick zones, ALT+T/B for Google Search
    * Include the Hub KB shortcuts as per TheBond's suggestion
    * Add a note about RHS Shift making a good CTRL key

I read in another post you can change one of the alt keys to act as a ctrl key. Maybe check out keyboard settings.

It's in the link in the original post but the grey on CrackBerry is quite similar for links and text...

No there is only one Alt key. You can choose either left or right shift key to behave as Ctrl key. I have it set for right shift key.

Thanks for that. Wish it was the same in UC Browser, that is way lighter and faster than the Chrome.

Neat! I'm hoping that will make using SSH from my phone that much easier. No need for a pop up keyboard for special keys.

Wish more apps supported the space shortcut for "page down". Fenix works for Twitter (and is awesome!) nor does the CrackBerry (really, c'mon )

Speed up your phone by removing or reducing the animations......
    1. Settings, about, tap on build number several times.
    2. Turn on Developer mode.
    3. Set animation speed faster or off.
    4. Reboot device by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.

    Also helpful for speed...
1 - Go to settings, storage, internal, and hit cached data.

Press the $ sign when you pick the call.
I believe you need to be in the Phone app for the $ sign to work as speaker.

Thanks. Yes that works after you answer the call but can't be used to actually answer the call.

And you can use the Space bar to trigger the shutter. You can set the volume rocker to something else, e.g. zoom.
