Still looking at how to poke around the updater API, and one of the things it needs to check for updates is the device PRD. This is on the label on the box, where the serial number, IMEI, stuff like that are. This is a table of all known PRD values, but what I need from you is mapping which PRD goes where. If you know the carrier/vendor of a PRD value that hasn't already been filled or has been filled wrongly, please post. Also, if you know a PRD value that isn't in the list, please post that as well. Here's the list:

It signifies the phone variant and distribution channel, i.e. while they may both be BBB100-3s the unlocked CDMA BBB100-3 has a different PRD than the Sprint version. It's used in TCL's update checking mechanism, so knowing which PRD goes where shows both a) which update goes where, and b) which owners to ask to run the mobile upgrade tool to get factory images.

Is there a way to check the PDR in the phone??

In a pickle with getting my Bell (PDR-63116-003, BBB100-1) unlocked. The carrier says the IMEM doesn't show in their system, and believes I was issued a non-Bell device; hence why they cannot unlock the device. The IMEM on the sticker & phone match.

Just curious if this can be found else where.

If you have getprop over ADB or with an app (like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....getprop&hl=en) it should be the ro.prd_number value. Here's that app on a DTEK60:

    soo....

    I doesn't list " ro.prd_number" as you did, i don't have a sim in the phone either.

mine starts from ro.product.board --> ro.product.publicname. then jumps to the Q section, and so on.

is this not meant to be?!!

I hit the search function for 'prd' nothing shows up -_-

The phone hasn't been setup since receiving it. It's still fresh and needs to be setup. Haven't ran any updates yet...

Okay, try this. Enter the "Updates" app, tap on "Help" in the menu, tap five times on the last entry, then enter: fotaapp*#1221#

If that worked you should get a few more entries in the menu; if you do, go to "Project test" and read off "Device CU Reference".

It might need an OTA update, though.

Found mention of a PRD-63116-039 (Black KEYone Canada) in the September update thread, but the update server doesn't know this PRD. Tried a few others though and found these:

PRD-63116-040 <-- Update server answers with "No update available." for full updates
    PRD-63116-041
    PRD-63116-042

Does the "Verizon" cdma version have a specific PRD or does one still have to search for it. I've tried that ADB command and also a GetProp from the playstore and neither reveals my PRD. I don't know where the heck I stored the darn box. Actually, now that I think (at all), this is a replacement (screen pop) and so NO box.

PRD-63118-001; the Sprint one is PRD-63118-003. I haven't seen any other ones for the BBB100-3.

I'm curious how to get the PRD from getprop. Like FF22, I don't see PRD anywhere when running the app from device. I tried in Updates app, but that didn't reveal any hidden menus -- or I entered incorrectly multiple times.

I'm expecting a replacement device, so I'd like to be able to get the PRD of current and replacement device to confirm they've sent me a like for like.

    Any thoughts?

You have to run "ADB shell getprop" from a computer.

Otherwise, try the Update app again - although that method only works on Sep patch and earlier.

Neither method has worked to get to the PRD value.

Both did for me. They can't just choose to not work for you.

Getprop must be done via USB - not a device app.
