Waited to upgrade on key2, for too long probably, then had the opportunity to test the oneplus6, and... decided that it would be my next daily driver, installed blackberry vkb on it, and works like a charm (even faster). Will definitely wait for key3, with hopefully bigger screen, amoled, no navigation buttons and better cpu to manage camera lenses. Battery life is no longer an argument for my usage as the oneplus6 lasts as long as my keyone (more than 2 days) and the dash charge is more efficient than BlackBerry quickcharge. If you add on to this the price of the device, then the brand and PKB is no longer sufficient for me to buy in at the moment.
What do I use my phone for? Emails, messaging, United Airlines, mobile web browsing, VLC & Pandora. I can't see how I'd get any benefit from an upgrade. All of them run great - especially under Oreo. Unless they add more spacing between the keyboard and the nav buttons, return the tool belt & trackpad, or return wireless charging a'la Priv, then I cannot see why I'd upgrade right away.
key3 (if) will come with Android P, a perfect camera, on-par or better pkb than k1/k2, speed key, hopefully wireless charging dual speakers and ip68 (or 67).
this is a much larger jump than keyone to key2 to me.
I would love a PRIV2 as well. But as it stands, I am still on my KEYone and would like to get a chance to check out a KEY2 hands-on before making a decision as to whether I should upgrade. Maybe Best Buy will get them into a store near enough to me. If I don't upgrade to the KEY2 then KEY3 will probably be my next one.
No. After a year my K1 is still serving my needs fine at this time. No lag issues, great battery life and pkb and unlike low or inadequate volume issues some report, mine is plenty loud, through the ear speaker and the bottom speaker.
I see no need to switch at this time. Waiting for a K3 or better yet, a Priv2/ slider style.
Waiting for either a k2 lite depending on battery life and colors or a k3. My keyone just got back from repair and I think I got a new phone. As in New, not a refurb
My KEYᵒⁿᵉ is fine for the use I put it to. I have no intention of upgrading/changing it, until it falls apart. it's a good product that's even better with Oreo.
Prior to Oreo update for the KeyOne, I was planning on updating, but no more. the KeyOne has found new speed/responsiveness and great battery life. the clincher is the K1 on Rogers has flawless WiFi calling and the is the one feature I need the most (my Toronto condo reception is terrible) and since K2 does not have WiFi calling yet on Rogers, there is no incentive to change.

Yes, the Rogers Wi-Fi calling is excellent! I didn't know it's not available on the KEY2. Why is that?
