KEYone not receiving SMS on Toyota IM - Anyone else having this issue?

I am not able too get my sms on my new Toyota IM. Toyota has no answers. I have tried everything to get it to read my texts. It reads emails and phone book. Doesn't read anything but that. I have tried the android car app. It doesn't even read that screen onto my display screen. My understanding was that is what it was supposed to do.
Is there a security feature that I am missing? Is this just how I have to use it? I would rather be able to have it read my texts but if not I guess it makes it safer for me.

I find that in general the Toyota Bluetooth does not work well with the KeyOne - unlike with my old Classic: Bluetooth audio performance is unpredictable and not always reliable. I think this is a Toyota issue, because my mate's Samsung Galaxy has the same problem. Both he and I have 2014/2015 Aurises. I intend raising the matter with Toyota because I suspect their software/firmware hasn't kept pace with current Android.

same issue here with texts. i posted an issue about this before too. used to work before the August update. everything else works fine.

I have a 2015 Scion which is under the Toyota umbrella and haven't had any connection issues going from Classic to Keyone. I don't have SMS capability included in mine though.

Toyota cars of 2014 2015 probably sitting on a lot for maybe two years since manufacturing. I should think the cars Bluetooth hardware needs an upgrade
