About the same amount of time it takes for the vkb to show up. Might as well stick with that then.

Yes, I meant the keyboard cover.
Any ideas on numbers?

This has been around for the S7 two years ago. I have it. It's decent, it resizes the screen automatically so there's no functional loss. It charges together with the phone's wireless charger. However, it does not provide other BB pkb intuitive shortcuts that make every day's use more efficient.
ok

On S7 version, probably S8 case, the keyboard is still lit up on the screen under the keyboard for some reason. No idea what they were thinking because since the pixels are lit they could have a backlight but didn't and it's just wasting battery!!
Those are 2 different keyboards, both of them are not as good looking as the Blackberry keyboard. I'm just sayingAttachment 421365
Why is this thread still here? Who the heck wants to slap on a third party keyboard onto a slab phone...not too many. Just curious.

Worry even an OEM keyboard not built in is really silly imo.

not third party but yeah, it's nothing compared to the good old Berry pkb
Boxwave has made iPhone sliders for years. They certainly aren't that useful for serious writing of large docs, but my 9900 fits fine in the other front pocket should I need it.
Let it go folks. No "device" can do it all. Well, other than a Ginsu knife or a Cap Snaffler. 😪
Ive been using the keyboard with the note 5 for a long time- 6 months. Its great. Note 5 is a great phone. The only downside- and really the only reason for me to wait for the keynote is the lack of backlight on the keyboard as someone noted above. You have to use it to see how good it is for those who don't like virtual typing. And yes- I have the classic, the passport and the private- all in my drawer once I started using this.
it actually looks like an older blackberry keyboard, from the early 2000s i think
