It's about budget. KEY² is obviously superior, but if you can't stomach the $649, then get a KEYᵒⁿᵉ Black edition, or wait a few weeks for the new KEY² LE - both should be around $499 (the former will be higher grade material finishes, but the latter will be faster, have dual cameras, larger keyboard, and upgradeable to Android P).

If you are in the U.S., Best Buy has the Keyone for $300.

    $399 Silver, $499 Black.

$299 is for the Silver Verizon CDMA - which is only guaranteed to work for another 16 months.

That's all I need it for. Hopefully by then, the Key3 will be out.

It will work longer than that, even with CDMA turndown, LTE will continue to work on Verizon.

IF they choose to whitelist the device for VoLTE. Nothing official on that yet.

Well that's good to know. Without the new LTE band (66) Verizon is deploying to make up for CDMA shutdown, how do you think it will work?

    Well,

It works flawlessly on bands 2,4, and 13 now. Band 5 is being refarmed to 4GLTE (850mhz) and the KEYone supports that, so it should be no issue as well.

Good. I just thought band 66 was being added to make up for the loss of CDMA.
