disassembly and dry it it carefully with a hair dryer and leave it for a day or two
You might want to get desiccant drying agent and leave it inside for a few days, too. But do NOT turn it on - more electricity flowing though it is not good.
Good luck
I can't disassemble I don't have proper tools and experience

Thanks let me check for drying agent

If all else fails, stick it in a bowl of rice, completely covered. The rice will draw the moisture out. Leave it in there for at least 24 hours.
Incorrect. Do not do this. Rice doesn't help, and can make it worse. Desiccant or take it to a phone repair shop. Might need board repair.
What are you talking about??? This method saved my iPhone 5!!! It is tried and true if nothing else is available! Just look it up before making uninformed comments! Cheers,
This is a myth....rice is a no no...go Google it:

Dessicant is there to absorbe moisture and works well in pharmaceutical products, silica does the job well...rice...not so much...good luck either way !!!
OP, mentioned he was not able to open phone, that article is one opinion and may be correct, you can also find opinions supporting. My objection was the don't do it statement which your article supports that at worse, it won't do anything. Am I missing something here? Letting the phone sit wet is definitely a much greater risk in my opinion and very time sensitive. Anyway, hope OP can sort it out.

Because, as an IT professional, I'm uninformed.
Cheers!

OP, taking the back panel apart requires no tools and should be relatively easy. It just pops off.
Gotta give the KEYone credit for ease of disassembly (minus the excessive glue behind the battery)
I forgot to mention how I saved my camera! It fell in a creek on a hike. Well, it joined me as I fell in that creek.
Removed battery (less possible these days with most phones). Drained out water. Removed sd-card. Then hung it in front of car's air conditioning vent for about two hours of driving. Rotating it around. Then left it in hot sun for about 3 hours when we reached our destination. It worked fine.
I should add that the lens was fogged with water in it as was the view finder. It was definitely very wet. Air conditioning air is very dry and was supplemented by the fan constantly blowing. I was sure that the camera was dead at the beginning of a two week vacation. I was happy and did not replace that camera for another year and a half.
That's absolutely false.
Please read my above post with proof to my claims. :)
Is it worse than just leaving it to dry in the open air? I guess I'm not curious enough to watch the videos or read. The Readers' Digest synopsis of why it is BAD????
I'm Italian. Can I use pasta instead of rice?
Sure, then make some nice sauce to go with the pasta.
just put it in the rice, and leave it for about 2 days. works perfectly fine after that.
I've been using this trick for my laptop and my phone. :)
Thanks you guys finally rice idea now keyone is ok.
It was in rice bag above 24 hrs and it's working good

KEYone is secretly water resistant!! Jk lol
Might be I took back frm water in a fraction of second.
Lol this is hilarious
I put mine in some rice, added two cups of water, boiled for twenty minutes, then a little bit of basil and salt. The phone didn't work but it tasted better. The keyboard reminded me of chiclets.
Hahaha!
