Nope, I just got mine yesterday from Best Buy and I am having the same issue as well.
I have the same issue!
Unless you installed some apps that might want to take control of the screen, I'd say that looks broken.
Let's add this to the list...
OP, recent purchase?
loose screen pulling on the ribbon maybe?
Yeah. Looks like the ribbon has come loose from the back of the screen like said above.
I just got mine yesterday from BB and the only way to fix the issue is to power cycle the handset.
Wow. I'm definitely waiting to get one now. All these problems. My Z30 is still solid with none of the issues reported on the KEYone. Yes no apps but a quality device none the less.

If it's fixable by power cycle, then it's a software issue. Perhaps all of you guys getting from Best Buy has some app that is causing the problem.
My KEYᵒⁿᵉ hasn't missed a beat since late April.
My KEYone started doing this tonight! What the hell! I tried using the April autoloader to try to fix this but it is still happening! WTF! Has my KEYone died? I am devestated! Please give me some advice on how to solve this
Help!
Oh dear! What else is going to crop up?

I'm devestated!
I've been rocking a K1 for couple of weeks with no problems except that external mics don't work on it; however, this is the case with lots of phones when shooting video.
I still cannot stand gooooooogle but the K1 is a good phone.
My KEYone is just flashing black most of the time. I can't do anything on it! What should I do???
I wonder if it's a bad proximity sensor.
I've taken my KEYone back to CPW and they're sending it away for repair. So I'm stuck with a fecking prehistoric phone for the time being.
My Wife started doing it the very first day. NOT a mechanical issue, not a loose ribbon cable.
She had just taken her sd card from her old phone and inserted into the key one.
The phone was new and just out of the box.
Here is what I did and it has not returned.
Removed sd card
I did a software up date.
used the computer to remove all her photos and file from the sd card.
Did a full format onto the sd. (not a quick format)
reinserted the sd.
powered up the phone
My CDMA version that I bought from amazon did this after 5 weeks, I was devastated. It took 15 minutes to even get it to reboot, kept flashing on for a second and no keys or the screen would respond. After finally rebooting it, I wiped it and sent it back to amazon for a refund, as they have not have any CDMA's in stock for a month. I will rebuy it someday when they get them back in stock. I could not chance keeping it with that issue.
That is awful. I feel badly for you.
according to the comments on YouTube you already took it back and got it replaced.
definitely a defective unit.
Moving on.
