Well this is rather shocking news.
Now I don't think it is a good idea to buy Blackberry so soon.

That's a really good price about $450 Canadian. Is it the Chinese variant?

I don't see this as negative at all. BlackBerry Mobile will sell a bunch of KEYone devices while the KEY2 is going through it's launch.

They'll lessen the KEYone supplies that are still in retail channels and they might be ramping down (maybe even stop) KEYone manufacturing while ramping up KEY2 production.

People who want a KEYone should grab one. Especially if it's that inexpensive. It's still a great device, even with the KEY2 now available.

Probably this means the price of Key2 lite will be between the price of the key2 and the discounted Keyone and they need to lower the price of the black because it'll have similar specs!

If I didn't know about the K2 then I would definitely order the K1 from amazon as that's a good price but I will wait now and get the K2 when my contract ends ;-)

For sure, they're both great devices. I've got both. Using the KEYone right now. Waiting for the cases at my carrier store.

The KeyOne BE was 300€ in Germany few days ago. The SE was 250€. Thats inklusive taxes. It was offered by a big Electronic seller Saturn. So the pricetag of the K1 is changing in stort periods. So whatch out.

And I tried the K2 over One week, but will keep the K1 cause of price and Keyboard.

I was on the AT&T web site looking at upgrade options and I noticed they have reduced the price of the KEYone by approximately $100.00.

The BE has been available in the UK for £349 for about 6-7 weeks from CPW and John Lewis. CPW upped the price to £429 this week, but JL still have it at that price, but are sold out.

Congrats! I'm on that very phone and plan on keeping it, even though I'll move to KEY2

not on amazon.ca. BE K1 still way north of 600 CAD (drop 12% since release). good move BBMo for relief some pressure from supply chain of K2 and keep user base (avoid them jump ship to another platform). - thx OP. knowing price drop 40% in the pipe line, waiting for amazon drop to 400 range. thx again.

One... most likely BBMo needs to convert inventory to cash in order to build more KEY2s.

Two... very likely that the KEYone is being retired, and selling off inventory so that it isn't an option anymore, this would help with upcoming KEY2 LITE lauch.

If BBMo is still able to make a reasonable profit selling it for these current prices... I think a $399 KEYone, a $549 KEY2 LITE and a $649 KEY2 is a pretty good spread of products.

But I doubt that the KEYone is magically that much cheaper to produce, and I doubt that three product each with a number of variants is something that BBMo wants to deal with on a global basis.

It probably means that bbmo decided to sell some inventory to BB Merah Putih who has chose to sell them at a discounted price . I believe I have only seen adds for KEYone via BB Merah Putih for a few months now . They were still pushing aurora until then

let's wait till we see the price of Key2 Lite and where the price of KeyOne BE will settle after its release. I might be right, I might be wrong, who cares anyway :-)
