    Dear community,

mid of May is already over and i guess most of the K1-users haven't been served with the newest updates.

    - Security-Patch May 2017
    - OS-Update AAL

Personally I'm not a big friend of These threads /requests, as there would be reasons for this (short) delay.

BB-mobile and the represantives here should only aware, that there is a crowd waiting for this and further improvements.

Although still on April patch level, AAL093 is available for autoload.

I'm pretty sure we can expect an update right before the North American premiere. So literally next week or so.

Oh Silly me. Used the QWERTY keyboard!

So tried *#*#243546#*#* and nothing shows up. Then I remember that CHECKIN = 7 Characters (you might miss one character) so should be *#*#2432546#*#* and still shows up nothing.

So does it push the update sooner? I don't want to go towards autoloader route and start fresh.

How long did it take you to receive an update after requesting "check-in" ?

After downloading it, it should ask you to apply the update automatically. Check the update app. It'll restart and do the needful.

After keying, nothing appears on the screen. When I try to update the phone with the Updates App on the phone, and click on Check for Updates Now, it says Your system is up to date.

Using autoloader means you will have to erase all data.
I thought the idea behind check-in is to get formal update using phone Update app.

Installing through Update app should keep your data intact.

I also executed the "checkin"-Code via the dialer.

    - Does this work and update will be pulled into the update-app ? Sounds too easy ...

Only if it's available. Just eliminates the polling time.

I'm not sure the checkin works on all devices, I remember it was only useful on devices specially provisioned for updates (i.e. betas). It seems to me that using the autoloader is the easiest way to update to AAL093 for now.

Thanks. The autoloader worked great so far. The only issue is Android Pay no longer wants to work due to it suspecting I'm running a rooted device, unlocked bootloader, or a custom ROM.
