I have a FitBit, so I get my notifications on my watch. This way, I always set the KEYone to "Silent". However, after some time, I notice that it's on "Vibrate". I pretty sure that I'm not accidentally switching it myself.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

You didn't happen to have installed a wet film type screen protector or gotten the phone a little wet near the volume keys have you?

My volume key liked to press itself DOWN randomly after I got a little moisture in that area. Thought the keys have malfunctioned. After a day, it stopped and has been working fine ever since.

It's probably happening after a phone call. Mine does that too if I place a call with the phone in silent mode.

weird thing on mine. @ work I set it to silent. lay the phone down untouched, wake it up later w/ finger print and it would be on vibrate.

OK, so it's just not me. Sounds like a software bug, since my PRIV did not do this.

You all are using dnd? Or is silent something only BlackBerry has in nougat?

There is a bug in this OS. Put your phone on silent, then reboot the phone, it'll go back to vibrate mode

Where is silent? My android on nougat doesn't have a silent setting. That's why I asked if only BlackBerry has this silent setting.

Just keep pushing the volume down button all the way down until it reaches vibrate mode, then tap it again, it will enter silent mode

Oh. It's called do not disturb on mine. Which is and acts different than silent on my old BlackBerry.

I have this bug too. My phone is on silent during the night, but will automatically switch to vibrate after a few hours. Very annoying. I wonder if it has been reported to BBm...

I don't if it's just my setup, but when I bring the volume down all the way it enters vibrate. Another press on the volume down takes it into silent mode. Pressing the volume up button will now put it in vibrate mode again.

I also have a shortcut assigned to volume. It changes between 3 profiles (koud, vibrate and silent). I am a noob to Android though, so I have yet to find out most stuff.

I came across that app called "Rocker Locker", which basically locks your volume rocker to change the volume of your music instead of your ringtone in case you pressed accidentally. For me it was a life change seriously because I always hated that it changed my ringtone setting instead of my music volume

Same issue here, just got my KEYone. Hopefully will be fixed by a software update down the road... Of course we'll never know if BB actually knows about it and is working to fix it.

sometimes you don't need a reboot, it will auto change from silent to vibrate.

    I just noticed this too.

A couple of days back, I put my phone on Silent and took an afternoon nap, woke up after 4 hours and it's back to vibrate again! Very annoying!

    Hi all,

I found the solution for frequent silent/vibrate mode..

In do not disturb settings remove all the profile... to fix this issue.
