Yes, it's for the visually impaired.
It's the number 5 which is the middle number of a number pad.
Even if ur not visually impaired the dimple is useful.
This is definitely your first time using a pkb , even laptops and computers have it
My Passport don't have it.
That's awkward! Not even my priv 😬
My iPhone doesn't have it
Checked every keyboard in the house, none of them have dimples on any of the keys
Some of them are very well hidden. Did u check the sides of the keys?
Every bit of the squares/rectangle. Felt it blindly as well, flat as a pancake. Nothing on it.
Priv has one on the D.
It's normal; similar to the F and J keys on a computer keyboard. All computer keyboards have had this since I was a kid (I'm 29); including my 6 month old laptop.
could be your other devices have manufacturing defects.
That seems to be the case from what other people are saying.
How did you spot that, never noticed to now.
Well, clearly you live in the twilight zone then. People are right, though, Passport doesn't have it.

Great comment right here.
Don't do this to me blaze! I'm going to be calling all the big boys in tech today getting replacements because none of my keyboards are accessible to the blind.
My Dell keyboard and my Samsung Tab both have raised bars on the F and J keys - the HOME keys are they use to be called. Even the 5 key on my cordless phone as a dimple on it.
When I checked yesterday it was dark so I couldn't see it but the priv have it but you cant feel it
The dimples are there, u just need to find them. I would get a second opinion.
That's too funny!
Sent from my BlackBerry KEYone - the most elegantly productive, secure and utterly satisfying mobile device
I don't think it's always on the D if you're looking at a laptop it might be a different key ( I think so )
So its really for the 5 key not the D. Which is why Passport doesn't have it.
BTW, dimples are recessed. You all are talking about a nipple.
My Q10 had the D dimple as did Classics I have seen.
