Hey, anyone know of a BB/Android developer that would make or have made a calculator app that worked like the BB10 one where typing on the keyboard worked without needing to use the alt key? In the default calculator app it types the letters. Or maybe BB can make it auto-lock the alt key when the calculator is active...

Android calculator app is based on all touch devices. On PRIV its the same. Agree that BB10 was so much more advanced.

Yah, it's painfully obvious it was designed for all-touch. I hope they can port over their own calculator for the BB Launcher.

I downloaded ASUS Calculator and i found that you can "lock" the Alt-key!!!

ASUS Calculator in general is WAYYYYY better than stock android calculator in terms of UI and features.. I had to get it from APK Mirror since they don't offer it on Play Store anymore for non-Asus devices, but it works flawlessly on my KEYone

Okay, i just tried it.. even if you type the correct keys from the keyboard, it can't do the calculation unless you use the screen (the digits disappear when you try to calculate).. LOL!!.. i guess we're stuck using the screen only for calculator apps for the time being

but still, Asus Calculator is still way better than stock android.. lol

And... are you saying it does some of the things we want it to do or what?

And isn't that a note taking app?

you can type calculations into a page on OneNote with the alt key lock and it will calculate the answer after you type "=” and press enter.

LMFAO, not at you, that's actually genius, but laughing at the fact that the stock calculator is such a joke that a note taking app is a better alternative... smfh

I find the calculator often magnifies with and arrange frame around the edge, and is dysfunctional until I close it and open it back up.

Anyone else have this problem? any suggestions to correct/avoid it?

Yes that calculator works perfectly! The developer must have had a BB at some point because for the keyboard to work that way can't be a coincidence because other keyboards don't map the numbers and symbols to the same keys...
