Not necessarily. The reason I mention Canada is because that's BlackBerry's home land and historically Canada has always been one of the first for BlackBerry products. However, this is now TCL running the show so it's a totally different ball game. Devices are now based out of China. I can't quite remember how the PRIV was launched.

After all the who-ha about the May 5th date, I'll start a thread complaining if the K1 is launched sooner. (unless someone else already called dibs on that!)

If review units are JUST landing we're looking at another 2-4 weeks until retail launch at least and then a myriad of other launch problems due to this being a BlackBerry associated launch.

How is it then Selfridge stores already confirmed the keyones are already in stock and will be available for purchase tomorrow? How can UK have it one month earlier than Canada? That's too long a delay even for blackberry. Also let's not forget, it isn't actually blackberry distributing the phone, it's TCL. We should not put the blackberry stigma on TCL until we see some actual roll outs. For now I'll give TCL the benefit of the doubt.

I somehow doubt end of May. It would be extremely stupid of Steve to build up excitement for the 27th and then destroy us again with end of May. I mean if end of May is the forecast, Steve wouldn't have been building excitement for April 27th (that's just asking for trouble), he would have set a later date for the announcement. I also read that review units have shipped and someone accidentally tweeted it (which was later removed). Now let's say the reviewer's NDA ends on April 27th and we see reviews come out on April 27th. How can the availability be a MONTH away?
