I just ordered my KeyOne - I did not know about the screen lift issue. Should I still be concerned?
Wow haven't posted here in awhile.
It's the lottery, I have my key1 since April, the screen is ok
So "fixed" versions are still having this issue occasionally?
No I would not be too concerned. The issue was rectified after initial production runs.
I'm not aware of any that were reported.
I wouldn't really worry. Although, I guess someone reported, maybe yesterday, that they did get older stock from CPW (English???) as recently as August or even more recent????
You can ascertain the date:
You can find the assembly date for the unit in the MMI test / Traceability menu
1 - Dial *#2886#
2 - Hit "MANU"
3 - Then "Traceability" on top
4 - Hit "Pass"
5 - On the bottom should be your build date
6 - Hit "Pass" again
7 - Scroll to bottom and hit "exit"
You should get a date code like in:
20170529
yyyymmdd
Very much is. Had mine since launch in Canada. Screen popped today. *sigh*
My wife's just popped today. didn't drop or anything. The metal actually by volume just bent thus releasing the glass screen.
When was the phone ordered and how did it "Just Popped."
Here in China , some says that they encounter such issue and have to glue it back.
My screen popped today when I took it out of the case for a little cleaning. BBMo should have issued a recall.
This device cost me a lot of money and I don't have another $600 to buy a new one.
Perhaps a class-action if enough people complain?
Why don't you just return it under warranty? That's what the warranty is for right?
As someone who bought the phone in June, and has just today requested a replacement for the screen issue, I imagine some people are a bit scared. The language from BBMobile indicates they can charge your credit card if they feel that you've broken the device. To fix the screen you are required to take a leap of faith that BBMobile wont judge an incidental scratch elsewhere on the device to be the cause of the screen issue. It makes me nervous at least.
guys, you can always just take the phone to a repair shop and they can use a stronger adhesive - This if you have dropped your phone and are afraid BBMobile will blame that on the screen lift
Wow...i don't know this,
I'm 20170714
So my phone was made in july right ?
Yes, unless there's a 14th month! (g)
