    Nice! If the demand for this device stays high then the carriers will feel pressured to update them more frequently. That's my hope, anyways.

    It's not true. The person who wrote that is clueless as BlackBerry has been very direct with their message that software is all them. They aren't handing it over to another company.

    This exactly because that would be silly , blackberry is a software company , why would they hand it over to another company that does not have the know how on securing phones.

    If blackberry does handle over to someone that means they would have to pay them to do it
