Rogers Canada updated it's update blog page to show Keyóne receiving Oreo 8.0 and WiFi calling coming on June 28. The wait is over.

    Yup.

Stick to your stock OSes everyone. Don't play around with autoloaders for other device variants until a smooth transition to Oreo is made.

Finally, people that are requiring WiFi calling on their Rogers devices will have their wish granted. I for one, will appreciate the opportunity to have it work along with having full menu.

Why does the Rogers site say 8.0, not 8.1?

Is it June 28 yet? What is the best way of doing the update? Factory reset, then update or update first, then factory reset? I may do the update first, play with it to get a feel for the changes, then do the factory reset in a few weeks.

Great to hear the news . Although I did hear about this in a Toronto last week. Hopefully this can put an end to all the peeps that are still trying to compare blackberry mobile to blackberry Ltd promises . This is a different company all together and bbmo is listening to their customers

Please how does this affect those with unlocked KeyOne's on Rogers network? Will they get it too or will have to wait on BBMobile to push theirs.

Wait for TCL. The carrier it's connected to isn't a variable in how the phone checks for updates, but the phone's subvariant (i.e. bought factory unlocked vs bought from Rogers) is.

No idea, that somewhere managed to put a date on Oreo is a miracle, let alone any sign of what's new.

Moto z play (snapdragon 625) already received the Oreo but most users are reporting that it slower than nougat. I wonder if keyone is better optimized than Mozo Z Play.

Although there is a slim chance something can go awry I'm usually inclined to do an in-place upgrade. Rarely has one ever let me down and there's no need to go through the rigmarole of setting everything back up. Now if we're talking WP...

this is frustrating. Why does not BB communicate the date of oreo release? The only official date we have from BB is "later this year"

Because it will be different for each of the 60 KEYᵒⁿᵉ variants. It will roll our over time, just like monthly security patches.
