Another reason why I don't use Google services for anything more than casual use. This was a blatant oversight on their part to allow people create apps on their servers that mimicked their own app names.
I like Google for lots of things, but their approach to services is unfocused and inconsistent, because it's not their core competency. But since it's free, it's good value! LOL.
This is another reason why, for Android, I would prefer to work with a company that adds value to the Android security model (BlackBerry, Samsung Knox, etc.)

This problem really has nothing to do with Google. It's simply that if you are careless enough to not wonder why you got a somewhat vague email, apparently from someone you know, that doesn't explain the reason for the email, and then when you open the file attachment to find out more and it asks you to grant special privileges to the OS and it doesn't occur to you that it might not be a good idea to do that, we'll then it's probably too late.
