Edit: Seriously, mods? Editing the title of the post to make it look less bad for BB/TCL?
JerryRigEverything's bend test video is now at 481,000 views, making it the 2nd most viewed KEYone video of all time. It's also first in the results when you search "blackberry keyone" on YouTube.
All the positive reviews and goodwill generated with tech sites, up in smoke because they were too cheap or too dumb to spend 5 cents on glue. And the goodwill with customers was already gone due to delays.
It's a extreem bend test and a lighter test to see if the phone could burn down CNET allready tested it and after 10 drops and smashing the screen was still there. so they decided they had to bend it , after 3 times using al there power it was still there, so they decide to bend it again using all there power and that works finaly to get the screen pop out WOW
It's not a good look for sure, but just because people viewed it doesn't mean they all walked away with 'Oh geeze, that's a huge fail' in their mind.
Yes, but people willing to give BB a shot will see this video and say, oh, never mind (even though it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal). TCL's predictable lack of any response for over 24 hours doesn't help the situation any.
Last night the video was one of the top 50 trending videos on YouTube. This is many people's first time hearing of the K1 and they will laugh at BlackBerry. And that's awful for PR, even though the issue may be exaggerated.
Tired of the same old story - every time BB does something right, they screw it up somehow.

This device i made for use and drops
Honestly though, the issue isn't the screen lifting or how easy or hard it is to lift. It doesn't speak well of TCL that there is no adhesive at all. I think that's the major issue for me. I don't expect a device to be perfect but this is not a good construction on the screen.
I think they just forgot to add glue on the screen. Glue doesn't cost a lot. TCL new production will come with the adhesive on the screen so wait for better batch!
I'm not sure BBMo responding to a YouTube video in which the phone was torture tested far beyond real life occurrences, would benefit the company. Quite the contrary if it draws more negative attention, and ends up validating the "problem." Truth is the video was primarily for entertainment purposes. Frankly, on balance I thought the phone held up really well.
At the same time, if you read the comments , most viewers could not care less about the phone itself. Just cheap entertainment. Not much disappointment as such for the K1 itself.
