After the update the menu and home buttons stopped working on my phone. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Called BlackBerry Mobile and they offered repair where they gut the phone or replace where they send a replacement phone. Anyone deal with those options?

Hold down the power button for 32 seconds.

Not Verizon but I have AAY820 on sprint and it's the worst update that sprint has rolled out yet. Android itself crashes every ten minutes when the phone is being used and the WiFi is still doing the annoying behavior where the connection is stopped while the phone is idle. Absolute dog of an update! Knew I should have stuck with the last stable version I had.

the update is AAY819 , not ...20 unless the USA carriers have altered it.
The weird thing is how update problems only affect certain phones. So, could be a hardware problem.

You mean the 3 capacitive buttons, right? I'm on Verizon and not having those issues. Everything seems to work well on my end.

Same here. Maybe something got messed up during the update for OP?

Many factors can corrupt an update, especially an OTA update. Signal interruptions, corrupt or glitchy files on the phone, background apps, even sleep mode kicking in on some phones.

I've had a practice since my 8300 days of doing a hard reset (battery pull then) before and after each update, whether OS updates or current security updates, and (knock on wood) have yet to have had an update related issue, except of course issues with the actual update build itself. Not saying it's the answer to trouble free updates, but it's worked for me so far.
