I would be surprised by the opposite, after using it for almost 2 months.

well, look like UK chaps willing to spend more than US. Amazon top sell of smart phone full of the <300 handsets... (Blu at least got 4 or 5 spots).
With rumour iphone 8 going for 1200 per unit, I am not sure the mob cry for high BB 549 price is going to jump over there. ;-). I guess Droid/iOS like water and oil, does not mix well. (can't wait to see pixel goes for 1500... ).
Look like BBM's marketing of K1 might be foot step behind the Adidas success of Stan Smith ;-). hahaha...Lets see how is that work out for them. (better be hurry, before 1200 take over).
