I will get the K1 just wondering is there anyway to save the phone if the screen does come off.

Can you replace it and put it back with your own adhesive assuming the display ribbon is ok?

    Thanks

No. Self-repair = end of warranty.

It is risky... You are not supposed to repair the phone because you are not an authorized BlackBerry Mobile technician (if such thing exists..) and trying to repair the phone means end of warranty.

That said, if the screen is only partially lifted you can RISK to put it back and glue it.. The main issue seen in the video is that the cable that connects the screen to the phone breaks if the screen pops up completely. A minor lifting should not put strain on the cable and possibly you can fix it..

Anyway do it at your own risk.. Knowing that if you break it trying to repair it the phone will not be anymore replaced..

If I want a keyone have to risk buying it with limited warranty I'm ok with the risk.

    Thanks for this

I could buy it elsewhere but due to corruption etc could end up paying massive amounts in shipping and duty if I ever ended up having to file a warranty claim

Also remember if it has any other issue your warranty won't cover that either.

You can buy double sided tape

It's not that hard to fix yourself, but there are some concerns that others have stated:

-double sided tape helps but it's not as strong as the adhesive. It might not last forever.
-if you have a different problem and your diy fix is noticeable you probably voided your warranty.
