I'll keep this short and to the point. I own a KeyOne. I enjoy using it. Is it perfect? No. But, at a price considerably less than an iPhone or Galaxy device, I never expected it to be. We've all read the plethora of whiny and negative comments and posts in these forums regarding the KeyOne launch. Some of these comments are certainly legitimate, but many many more just come off as attempts by the author to be heard, to "fit in". Being heard is not a bad thing, but when you whine and moan about a person, company, or product to help you feel like your "fitting in", then you are doing an injustice to that product. If this is the last BlackBerry branded device we see, if the PKB is in its final days, people who have attempted to "fit in" are to blame, not a company or a product. I, for one, wouldn't hesitate to buy another BlackBerry if it is as good as the KeyOne. So long as it stays considerably cheaper than the next Galaxy or iPhone device.
So, other than you complaining how you hate how others have whined and moaned and complained , just "to be heard" and to 'Fit it," was their something of any value that you wanted to share ?
Well, no matter. It's my judgement (hee-hee) that you be rewarded with this certificate of your clearly , one sided and colorfully written attempt to blame others, for everything you dislike about this product.

Some here are still waiting for the K1 with properly glued screens. LOL
I finally have a K1 which I hope is properly glued now. It only took blackberry mobile 27 days to replace my screen pop out issue. They would never tell me "real" reason what was taking so long. Funny how my phone didn't get sent to me until after BlackBerry Mobile tweeted out that all new KEYones will be glued with a better adhesive. So I'm going to assume I got a replacement one with the better glue applied

These types of complaints exist for all phones. Go spend time reading Android and Windows forums, it's not a love fest there either. People will always complain about something. So what. No one says that we have to read it. We do have a choice in that.

Personally I believe that BB has killed BB, not the consumer. But that's my opinion.
YES BB did kill itself!!!! Not gonna mention names but the two individuals involved never had any foresight for apps! The apps and developer game became a game of numbers of which if these two guys made the decision to support more developers then perhaps apps for bbos10 might have stood a chance but the Android world was increasing exponentially and combined with BB's bad decisions ended up here today! With an entirely new company manufacturing the devices!

OP, please, the launch was terrible. It was pathetic. There was no launch. There was a very quiet release of the phone in tiny amounts that many have had a myriad of issues with.

These types of comments always make me laugh. BlackBerry and TCL aren't running a charity and looking out for you by charging less that what other companies might charge. They are charging $549US for the phone because they have to. If TCL could sell devices priced at Samsung and iPhone prices they would do it in a heartbeat.

Agree with you but the app issue was just one of many. I think that equally as bad was the lack of advertisements. I have never seen a BB10 ad. They had so few advertisements that from the Playbook launch forward I would have many people comment to me that they had no idea BB was still in business as they looked at my Z30. If the consumer believes that the company is defunct, there is a huge image problem. Lastly, BB's attempt to focus on business customers (with phones) at a time when BYOD was taking off also shows a complete inability to pay attention to the market. BB killed itself alright. It went out of its way to do it and now MS (mobile) seems determined to flow the same path.

There was no launch, only partial release.
^^^^ This. In Spain we haven't seen this device except on MWC. We cannot blame build quality or lags or bad software cause TCL didn't launch this phone, just throw some of them on 4-5 countries.

You've all been looking in the wrong place. No one has ever considered that everything starts right in the depths of Crackberry, itself. Yep! right here in the berry cracked think tanks of CB. And Why you ask??? For the ratings! The effects of LSD are still questionable. Let's not forget that the microwaves emitted from years of experimenting ,fry cells at such a fast rate that the end results have never been recorded because no one seems to remember if the tests were about brain cells or what;s for dinner.....By comparison (well, take me for example) I"ve been misunderstood being called confused when i was merely causing confusion... while the above statement, , "Launch was terrible.....pAthetic.... There was no launch. suggests the clear beginnings of real inner confusion.
Not so long ago, we hit a milestone with Over-Population, World Hunger and still no cure for cancer. With the threat those issues were already causing... Several esteemed scientists got together and invented Viagra and considered that an achievement.
CAn't wait to see what effects the digital micro-chip implant has to offer.
We are just products of our environment After all.

I just like to throw in a little humor from time to time. But, I'm still working on it cause it appears that the previous 34 posts Are humorous while this post is really no laughing matter.
And while the verdict is still out, it's already been proven that the waves being emitted by so many mobile devices at one time is already a future disaster and is being investigated with the same vigor as when chemicals were being dumped into the water supply and the effects of high powered electric lines were having their effect ... But, all of this takes a back seat to the real motivation .

So if the major discourse is to be critical, by acknowledging something is bad, we are just fitting in and making it worse?
I don't think that's what OP meant. I agree with acknowledging something is bad, for sure. But what I personally don't like, is how some users continually or more frequently tend to bash BlackBerry.

There are some who can make a rant, but know how to move on and comment on the positives. But it's those who use every opportunity to take a swipe or advocate that "BlackBerry got what it deserved", that are the most irritating.

It's the prevalence of those folks who make a bad thing worse. Which is what I believe OP is getting at.

Btw, your analogy with the Holocaust was pretty desperate.

It's the single most frustrating piece of tech and accompanying launch I've ever dealt with. The delays, the pathetic amount of devices released, and the fact that glue was completely optional buried this for me. I've owned dozens of phones and hundreds of tech products over my time. When someone's only defense of a product seems to be "At least it didn't explode" there is a serious problem. They dug their own grave on this one. They had a solid product and managed to muck it up about as badly as possible. I've owned two damned Yugo's in my life if you want to know what other winners I've owned. To be fair both of them I bought for less than 500$ and worked LONGER than my KEYone did.

Here's your sale pitch "A worse value for your money than a ********* YUGO"
