On occasion I use my KeyOne to display a recipe. With messy hands for fingers it can be difficult or clumsy to try getting to the screen timeout function or wake it up if it falls asleep. Normally my screen times out in 1 to 3 minutes. But I'd like to boost that to ten minutes or so when I plan on consulting a recipe.

Any way to toggle or easily change the value?

    Thanks for ideas.

Use your PlayBook for recipes! wink wink :-)

Go into settings and under Display you can change sleep up to 30 minutes.

Well, lately, new recipes are quickly shipped by email and the KeyOne retrieves them. The Playbook does have some tried and true ones.

I've changed that setting. But I'm looking for a quick way of kind of toggling 3 minutes and 10 minutes.

Set sleep to 3 minutes? Need more time just touch the keyboard and that will reset the time.

Right. But only if I am not in the midst of something and miss the window. I usually tap the screen but have missed the "deadline!"

Can you use the Google Assistant to read the recipe to you?

Interesting idea. But I'd still have to keep it awake as I ask it to repeat the ingredient list and instructions.

I think there's a setting to keep the Google Assistant always on.

You could also pick up a Google Home mini on Black Friday for $30 😀.
