My wife has the opposite reaction. No way she's gonna leave iOS. Unless FaceTime goes cross platform. Can't win'em all.
Facetime can be a glitchy mess at times.

It has worked flawlessly for us and much better than Skype on our iPad.

She handled my KEYone for a few minutes and then said she wanted to sell her iPhone 7 Plus and get one. I actually did a double take on that one.
She's a keeper. If she had thrown it against a wall as she laughed with a certain type of iCrap smugness, I'd implore you to leave her now before it gets dangerous. You both should sit down and watch this video together ....

    .....and laugh.

El Chapo and the other cartels' members have probably skewed those numbers quite a bit.

On the other hand, the cartels may be those elusive, important enterprise clients we hear about but no one can ever prove...

    Get it, elusive.....
That's funny and all, but it would sadden me if that's what comes to people's mind when they think about Mexico. This country has such a rich culture and history. I don't live in a place with a lot of tourists, and I live in walking distance to the biggest pyramid in the world, yet very few people have even heard about it. Even though I'm Norwegian and work for Norway, I've lived here for more than 3,5 years. Personally, I would never want to live in the U.S. I much prefer the culture and the people here.

I don't take any offence to your comment, I'd just like to mention that in my line of work I only need Internet access. I can choose wherever I'd like to work from. And I have travelled around the world. I chose to stay in Mexico. Despite all the negative publicity, it is statistically saver here than in many major U.S. cities. And culturally, it is one of the richest nations on the planet. If you know your history, you'd also know that several big states (including California and Texas) used to be a part of Mexico. You'd also know that in one point in history the area that is now known as Mexico City used to be the most advanced civilisation on earth.

@Barbareren, please don't get offended. Cliches are a great way of peeling off that thick layer of political correctness and respecting differences in a way that does not "make fun of" , but shows the stupidity of those who truly believe that bull**t.

We all agree with you. BUT, there is a reality connected to the fact that black people like me LOVE chicken and watermelons. Behind every cliche, there is a history of truth.

That's always the argument for any app that has been successful where BlackBerry hasn't. "It's glitchy" is code for "Man I wish BlackBerry had this app ages ago and that it was as popular as "named app" is."

She does know there are plenty of cross platform ways of doing the same as "facetime" right?

I just got back from Mexico and my family has been doing business in Mexico for 45 years. The fact of crime and the cartels is very real. Tijuana and Juarez have far higher crime rates and no, per capita, Mexico is more dangerous.

I'm Peruvian on mother's side and had to deal with drug cartels and Sandero Luminoso in Peru when visiting there in the 80s and 90s.

No reason for you to defend me against myself with my own ethnicity. I'm a Hispanic that can accept that Central and South America still deal with poverty, crime and corruption that many of my fellow Americans can only imagine....

We'd prefer if everyone across North, Central and South America would quit being PC every time we joke with each other. If you really want to help everyone, admit there's a problem in every country and encourage people to stand up and fight instead of running away....

I am born in the USA and proud of my culture, all of it....

Let's get back on topic of the original thread....

Tijuana, Juarez and other places close to the border are obviously not safe. Even locals I've spoken with would never go up there. However, Mexico is a big country, and I see it as disingenuous to select two of the most dangerous places in Mexico to somehow represent the whole country. Read this article: Mexico vs US Cities - How Safe Is Mexico

Crime and corruption is a problem everywhere, even in a wealthy little 'socialist' country like Norway. Sure, in _parts_ of Mexico the crime is much worse than many other places, but like I mentioned; Mexico is so much more than those dangerous border towns.

But I digress. Let's get back on topic.

    EDIT: Happy 4th of July
