Was watching a review and it was mentioned HUB is a resource hog.

    What did they mean?

If I disable HUB will web pages load faster?

    What pages? In the browser?

I've never found the HUB to slow things down.

I didn't try on my keyone yet, but on my PRIV disabling the hub services and using Nova launcher instead of BlackBerry launcher made a big difference on performance and battery, so I kept it that way until I purchased the K1.
Just find out by yourself, it's an easy task.

I was doing so side by side web page loading, Passport to K1, it was obvious Passport was loading much faster. Used firefox on both.

That's nuts. The Passport is brutally slow compared to the KEYᵒⁿᵉ. Not sure what's going on there.

The HUB, at the very least, is probably the best email client on Android.

Yes, disabling hub does help overall performance. I really don't need hub anyway.

The Hub is a resource hog? It gives me what I want and need. Still haven't needed to charge my KEYᵒⁿᵉ during a single days use. Combined with the triage ability of the Productivity Tab it's pretty brilliant!

I'd say keep the hub and chuck out the launcher.

BB launcher lacks optimisation compared to nova launcher.

    But you lose keyboard shortcuts?

You gain instant access to search which in my opinion increases productivity.

It's really hard to give up keyboard short cuts. If I had motion I would probably ditch BlackBerry launcher but I have keyone/priv. I had to disable hub though.

Nah man, Passport is still relatively fast. It's the rest of the lineup that is slowing down like crazy. Booted up my Q5 the other day and that browser is literally unusable. For God's sake, my 9900 browser is actually faster at this point.
