My only concern is that what if you are asleep, someone can just put your finger on the phone without your knowledge and hey presto...phone is open with access to everything including your banking apps ?

Some options for you are too kick out whoever lives with you and live alone or if you sleep in public just dont do it . This is by far the most secure way for not letting anyone steal your fingers.

If that is what you worry about then smartphone is absolutely not for you. Remember, nothing in this world is safe, even the money in your bank since someone still gunpoint you and ask for it.

fingerprints are treated as usernames , so no they are not more secure than passwords.

I had to admit my fingerprint is pretty secure since the KeyOne does not generally recognize it for the last 4 or 5 days.

All fingerprint sensors can be cracked by someone grabbing your finger and unlocking your phone. It's like hanging your house key on your doorknob. Not very secure but convenient.

it's a fast and very nice finger sensor and I happy it's on the front instead of the back so I might be biased but I have to say this is one of the best finger print sensors around

Assuming that you have not reassigned the long press key but you can grab an action key for the k if you wish to do so
