I tried power + volume down, and it doesn't work.... I just keep muting the phone.

How do I screenshot? Or how do I set it up to screenshot?

It used to be power and volume down press. if that doesn't work, or you don't like it (I don't). you can use button remapper. I use long press of Recents to do it.

install BlackBerry Notable, then you just swipe down and tap. You can then also write on the screen shot if you so wish.

I think you have to press the volume down button first and then the power button. That's how it works for me. If I press the power button first it just turns the volume down instead of taking a screen shot.

It is definitely a timing issue. Half the time I lose the volume, the other half I get my screen shot.

It's definitely a timing issue for the button pressing.

    I found the trick!

Press them both at the exact same time, if anything press the volume down slightly before the power.
Hold both buttons for half a second and the screenshot captures!

Before the Oreo update I could press and hold the power then tap the volume down but that stopped working. Now they need to be pressed at the same time

I have a KeyOne BE with the Oreo 8.1.1 update here in South FL, USA (purchased from Blueshop in Canada). The default method is "Volume-Down" together with "Power" buttons. It just worked for me just fine (keep in mind you need to keep them pressed for around 1.5 to 2 seconds before it take the screenshot) However, I also use Buttonmapper, as I set my convenience key to screenshot with a Long Press, and I love it! (double tap on my Conv Key puts my screen in split mode).

The process described by Big_Em works for me, I see the image and hear the sound, but where does the image go? I don't see it in Photos. There is a folder called Screen Shots but the image is not there.

Look in a folder called Notable, inside Photos.

I had deleted the Notable app. Reinstalled the app and now I can see the screen shot. Thank you.
