A forth row of number keys would also serve a secondary purpose of reducing the screen vertically into a nearly 3:2 aspect ratio territory out of the 1:1 that Google condemns ...what else?

I don't think one extra row added to they keyboard would change the aspect ratio of the screen that much. Nor do I think it would make sense to have a phone with the screen permanently in landscape orientation. I also don't think that would play very nice with many applications. In fact, I would be surprised that this isn't already prohibited from the OHA requirements.

Basically, I just don't see it as a good idea. What else? Probably accept that the Passport was a one of a kind flagship model that will finally not have any successors.

I am afraid you are right. But I loved workwide and wished I had the option in android. All considered the keytwo could be a wider and a bit taller than the KEYone. I know it's also useless to say but I still think a passport slider , also with a pen, would have been a work tool like no other. Sure a bit heavy, but if made of lighter material than the passport could have worked.

I'm in favor of this option more than any other bastardized form of the Passport that I've heard discussed around here. Mostly because I'm a fan of the slider form. But, also, because many of the suggestions of a Passport that could meet the requirements of Android include changing the size of the thing. This to me immediately means that it is no longer a successor to the Passport because the entire reason the Passport is called "the Passport" is because it is the exact same dimensions as an international passport.

A slider of the Passport form factor would definitely be interesting. It would make a great little tablet.

Leave Passport alone. TCL won't have the same capability as BlackBerry did. Besides, Android doesn't support 1:1 ration screen.

Workwide? Just long press the recents button (square) and you can then pick 2 apps to appear on the recents page and you just tap back and forth to access either app.
    BigAl_BB9900 and FF22 like this.
