I was able to set Textra as my default SMS app but problem is BB KeyOne does not recognize Textra as default app during restoring or backing up. How do I change it so that Textra is the default SMS application, and even during restoration, Textra will be indicator as such?

reinstall it and when you first open it, it will then ask you if you want to use Textra as your default text App.

Example, I been restoring the data that was previously backed up from my Q20. All my SMS that are being restored onto my Keyone are not going into my Textra SMS App folder but rather in my default Android SMS App folder.

Once you finish restoring, open Textra and go to Settings and About. Then "Resync Textra". Once that is done, you can set Textra to be your default SMS app and everything should be there. See if that solves your issue.
