Received the first update today in 4 months since AAY819. Disappointingly it was the prep build not Oreo itself.

Any ideas how long between this update and Oreo based on how long it's taken on other builds? A week or two?

Or whoever. I got my June update on my UK keyone today on an unlocked device in Spain on Movistar. It all seems very haphazard.

63117-036 updated today to Oreo (Switzerland based)

everything fine and running smooth, only one annoying topic. Had the BE in an original blackberry smart flip cover with window. Double tap into the covers' screen is no longer working for activation as there's no functionality to switch on, I assume so.

So what is the best sequence again, to upgrade to Oreo?

1. download and install all updates from playstore first
2. download Oreo ABG 366(install or not yet?)
3. wipe device and start from scratch with installing Oreo and all apps again

I did the following before upgrading to Oreo - not sure if its the best approach, but I can not claim that something might be wrong later.

- installed all app updates via play store
- cleared the cache
- did an backup for whats app, contats, images etc. etc. to google drive and dropbox
- download ABG366

and here we go - didn't realize a difference to before since Friday except the topic with the smart cover described above. I would like to name me as 'normal' user of the BE mainly e-mails, messages, calls and a few apps in regular use.

Did it like that execpt for clearing cashes - works all fine; but miss the clearing cashe for ram, which was in storage on nougat...

crazy to buy blackberry again given the lack of service and being neglected with updates. not even the "monthly" update has been fulfilled, buying a key2 now would probably imply no update to Pie.
