Why can't I? Are you clicking the gear top right once in the calendar, correct?

I think Bla1ze meant the settings in the gmail calendar website, not the settings inside the calendar app.

Try going to the Google Calendar website with your browser, if it still isn't there try desktop mode.

I don't understand any of those options. I tried using the browser but still no sight of that setting. I also installed the official Google Calendar app but nothing.

    - Open Chrome on your device
    - Go to the Google Calendar site
    - When it loads, tap the 3 dots in the top right of your browser, choose Desktop Site
    - Once it reloads, follow the earlier instructions to find Events from Gmail

Those settings are not in the Hub, GMail or Google Cal app. It HAS to be done through the Google Cal site.
