I always wonder why most manufacturers put those irritating sounds on by default but you can enable it by going to settings\sound screen\other sounds.
Hi Sander02. Thanks for your help, but I have still had no luck getting those "irritating sounds".
I don't think sounds can be enabled for the physical keyboard.
Since they were designed to replace the sound that physical keyboards made when everyone switched to virtual.
So your keyboard already makes noise.
Why do you want to enable MORE noise? Don't think it's loud enough? Because trust me, everyone hearing you type thinks it's loud enough already.
John Vieira, I understand what you are saying, but truly my physical keyboard makes no sound. I just asked two people to listen while I typed and neither could hear any sound. If I use the space bar repeatedly, I can hear a very quiet click. If I push the up arrow on the left side of the keyboard and the space bar, I can hear a very quiet click. No other keys make sounds. If I bring up the virtual keyboard, I get nice clicking sounds.
Why are you asking random people to listen to your keyboard hoping it would make sound?? Everytime someone is near me typing away on a vkb making some annoying sound for every keystroke I have to fight the urge to reach over and slap the dang phone out of that person's hand...
Same with the stupid beeps and fake shutter sounds on digital cameras, stupid music when a tv turns on, ugh....
What a bunch of jerks!
The annoying sound when turning on the television and when turning off the microwave is a pet peeve of mine.
Lol, it just gets on my nerves. Just because I don't understand something doesn't mean you shouldn't do it (just not around me, mmmkay?). ;-)
The fast dial sound when doing a speed dial on BBOS phones like the 9900 was cool.
Is there any way to achieve that on the K1?
I was just asking a question about a feature on my phone. I think my keyboard is malfunctioning. I rarely ever text or use my phone is public as I find it totally assinine to see phone zombies walking along nearly getting hit by cars as they text or read messages, and so disrespectful to be absorbed in their phones at meals in restaurants or even at home. I am polite when using my phone. I NEVER talk on it in store, I rarely text in a public place unless it is urgent. People would rarely know I own a phone. So to have people asking why I want to have loud clicking keys and castigating me because they dislike the concept of clicking keys was shocking to me. Probably the comments were from phone zombies?
I simply asked why you would want more noise from your keyboard... lol.
And why do you think your keyboard is malfunctioning? Does it not type? What are the symptoms??
There is no setting available to enable sounds when typing on the physical keyboard.
The settings you refer are only for the virtual keyboard.
Finally an answer! Thank you. I guess the clicking sounds from the physical keyboard that people mention are missing on my pkb. I don't really miss them, but wondered what people were talking about saying their keyboards are clicky. My isn't. Once again. Thanks for the information.
Its more the feeling than a real sound !
Thanks yet again fanisk!
