Yup. Just tried it on a call. Works like a charm!
Just got my replacement KeyOne yesterday and tried the Button Mapper, and as you stated, works GREAT! I actually may leave the Button active for myself as I don't find it a nuisance, but my 2 other buddies have found the Holy Grail.

    Thanks again RK.

Can someone tell me why the buttons on the right hanside are placed so low? My main gripe about the phone.

BTW, another possible solution to helping with mistaken Mute Key presses during phone calls is to get the OEM back cover for the KeyOne. I got it as a courtesy gift from BBM, and noticed that it completely covers the convenience key and requires much more pressure to depress. Just a thought as another possible solution aside from using Button Mapper.

Just have to say that having a physical key for mute and for speaker as the keyone has is a godsent for me. I spend a lot of my time on conference calls where you need to mute unmute all the time. Yet I understand how you can press it by mistake, it's location maybe isn't the best..

The problem I have with this button is, that it is needed in some apps to bring the menu. But how am I supposed to know if there is an "hidden" menu I need to access with this button or not?

That's what I have. I call it the inconvenience key. Now does nothing.
You can use buttons remapper premium to disable it

Doesn't button mapper tend to lag the phone because it's background service constantly needing to hear buttons pressed?

When I hold the phone, my hand also touches/covers the button. I don't death-grip it, though, so I don't press any buttons while on it. You should be able to feel when you press the button, so I would assume a quick press again would shut off the mute you enabled?

I would like to see a new setting like the "Space bar to answer" feature, where you tick the option to shut off the mute capability of the convenience key.
