I have calendars that sync with third party servers. How do I instead add a local calendar that saves events on the phone offline? I am able to do that using Android 6 on Samsung device. I am not seeing any option on BlackBerry KEYone though.

Use this app from the Play Store:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....localcalendar

It requires only calendar permissions and it will create an offline/local calendar that you can then add events to via the stock BB calendar app.

I found another way to do it.

If you have synched the phone with your computer using MyPhoneExplorer before you sign into a Google account, a local account is created, which can then be a destination for transferring contacts and calendar data by Bluetooth or data from MPE.
