    I installed a Honeywell RTH6500 thermostat with wifi at home. When I installed the app on my BB Keyone, the data use went crazy - 300 MB every 3 hours - so I removed the app. Anyone know why this happened, and how to fix it? All I want to do is check the house temp now and then. TIA!

    Logout from the app when not using might help.

    which app? is it Total Control Comfort or Honeywell Home? I have TCC and no trouble with data consumption (and I have TC2.0 for security systems as well with no difficulty either). Honeywell is VERY helpful by phone or chat.

    I never "log out" from either app... just close them normally. The notification scheme for the apps (TCC ＆ TC2.0) is very timely and useful. I do not use the Honeywell Home app.

    It could be faulty installation. 100MB per hour suggests that a sensor isn't property grounded.

    your thing must be recording the sides constantly... call up honeywell and ask, they have specialists for the app
