    Hello to all:

Blackberry Tech Support said I should factory reset my phone. Argh!

I have Blackberry KeyONE. When I hit the SYM key, I see the following list of 12 special characters. But I cannot type the AMPERSAND & which is required by my password.

I was able to take this screen capture and access it for you to see. Please see KeyONE screen capture.

HELP! cannot type my password containing ampersand-screenshot_20190903-180604.jpg

This used to happen on my Priv. But I was always able to workaround by sliding physical keyboard closed and using onscreen keyboard.

    Please see Priv screen capture.

Is there a keyboard combination on KeyONE to force onscreen keyboard?

As my phone has been hard rebooted, I cannot access "Settings" to change physical keyboard settings.

    Please see KeyONE screen capture.

What happens if you tap the top left button (the "..."), do more symbols appear?
Try long pressing the symbols see if more pop up?

you can use keyboard settings to check to always display on-screen keyboard temporarily and then once done revert... get rid of the ampersand and then do a 32 second, 3 buzz reboot... If no joy, you may indeed need the dreaded Factory Reset...

Sure on the PKB whereas the complaint appeared to be the VKB on startup.

You cannot access vkb on startup so it must be pkb command that is required

I’m not even able to create the situation on either KEYone so I have no other suggestions. I’ll stick to business analysis and you handle IT since it’s not, obviously, my field.. LOL
